The Brand Identity of Hotel UKETAMO: Lush Green of the Mountains
Hotel UKETAMO's brand identity is inspired by the rhythms of the Dewa Sanzan Mountains and nature in Japan. It combines the company's representative colors, "Pantone 4172 C" Serene Lake Green and "Pantone 4167 C" Lush Green of the Mountains. This not only echoes the Japanese Shugendo (monastic discipline) culture associated with the hotel's name, UKETAMO, but also evokes a sense of complete relaxation and tranquility through visual imagery. The brand's founder and chairman, Liao Bingyao, conceived the idea of ​​creating a hotel space where guests could truly find peace, based on the core philosophy of Japanese Shugendo, "acceptance of everything." To this end, brand identity designer Feng Yu drew inspiration from the rhythms of the Dewa Sanzan Mountains and nature, interpreting the meaning of Shugendo in a modern way. He first selected "Pantone 4172 C" Serene Lake Green and "Pantone 4167 C" Lush Green of the Mountains as the company's representative colors, then combined them with a streamlined design to interpret the Shugendo culture of the mountains.

Inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Japanese Shugendo (Buddhist religion),
the logo of UKETAMO features the image of the three sacred mountains of Dewa, one of the three holy sites of Shugendo, with a history of over 1400 years. In the experience, these mountains represent the past (Gekizan), the present (Haguroyama), and the future (Yudenyama). Feng Yu used refined lines to depict the imagery of the three mountains, representing not only UKETAMO's rich cultural heritage but also the energy fluctuations of nature.

A Tranquil Return to Simplicity Amidst the Bustle
The guest rooms, located on floors 7 to 16, are designed with a "reset" concept, creating a tranquil atmosphere. The rooms feature a calm, low-saturation earth tone palette, combined with eco-friendly building materials throughout, fully embodying the tranquility and simplicity of Taipei's East District. Brand identity designer Feng Yu believes that "the logo not only determines the public's first impression of the brand, but also creates the brand's unique value." Through the design, the brand not only faithfully conveys the message that "Hotel UKETAMO" hopes that travelers can start from the quiet of their minds, but also gradually usher in inner peace and experience complete relaxation and comfort during their journey.
